75 Soft Challenge App: How to Track All 75 Days on iPhone

A useful 75 Soft challenge app should hold your chosen rules, show the 75-day finish line, and give you one place to record each day. Choose the version before Day 1, rewrite every rule so completion is unmistakable, and decide what a miss means. The tracker should enforce clarity. It should not invent the rules for you.

That distinction matters because “75 Soft” is not used as one perfectly consistent rulebook across the internet. Community versions change the movement target, food rule, water amount, reading requirement, progress photos, and what happens after a miss. Do not borrow half of one version and half of another after the challenge begins.

This page is published by Cue, an iPhone challenge app. Cue is not presented here as the owner of or an official authority for the 75 Soft name or rules. The rule examples below are editable community-style examples, not a claim that one universal version is official.

Choose Your 75 Soft Version Before Day 1

Save the source or description of the version you are following. Then copy its rules into one document. If two sources disagree, that is not a problem to solve on Day 23. It is a decision to make now.

The hard rule is simple: the wording stays fixed for the full run unless safety or reality requires you to stop and deliberately create a different challenge. Quietly changing “45 minutes” to “I moved a little” after a busy day is not adaptation. It is erasing the finish line.

Use this mapping table to turn broad rule categories into observable daily actions. The middle column shows common kinds of variation, not official requirements.

Rule areaVersions may vary onYour exact wordingDaily proof
MovementMinutes, intensity, indoor/outdoor, rest or recovery days“Complete ___ minutes of movement within my ability.”Session completed
FoodWritten plan, alcohol, treats, restaurant meals, medical needs“Follow this named eating plan: ___.”Plan followed for the day
WaterAmount, units, climate, activity, individual needs“Drink ___ by my daily cutoff.”Chosen amount reached
ReadingPage count, format, subject, audiobook rules“Read ___ pages of ___.”Pages recorded
ReflectionJournal, progress photo, weekly review, or no requirement“Complete ___ before the day closes.”Action recorded privately

Safety is not a loophole. Choose movement, food, and water rules that fit your health, environment, and qualified professional guidance. If a rule becomes unsafe, stop. Do not use the name of a challenge to overrule injury, illness, medication, an eating-disorder concern, or medical advice.

If you need help turning a vague intention into a binary action, use the challenge-system guide before setting up the tracker. “Eat better” cannot be tracked honestly. A written plan with a defined boundary can.

Set Up the 75-Day Challenge in Cue

Cue can be used to create a challenge with a fixed duration and record daily completion. This guide stays at that level deliberately: your 75 Soft version supplies the rules, and the current app supplies the challenge-creation and tracking interface.

  1. Name the version. Use a title you will recognize, such as “My 75 Soft — Fall 2026.” If you are following a specific published version, record its name or source in your notes.
  2. Set the run to 75 days. Pick the real start date. Check the end date against travel, exams, work deadlines, and medical appointments before committing.
  3. Enter each rule as a daily action. Copy the exact wording from your mapping table. Keep units, minimums, and cutoffs visible.
  4. Decide what closes the day. Choose when you will record completion. Do not rely on remembering several days later.
  5. Write the miss rule outside your mood. Decide before Day 1 whether your chosen version restarts, records the miss and continues, or uses another clearly documented rule.

A copyable example setup

This is an example, not the official 75 Soft rules. Change every line to match the version you deliberately selected.

Challenge fieldExample entry
NameMy 75 Soft — Fall 2026
Duration75 consecutive calendar days
Daily action 1Complete my chosen movement minimum
Daily action 2Follow the written food rule I saved before Day 1
Daily action 3Reach my chosen water target
Daily action 4Complete my chosen reading amount
Daily action 5Complete my chosen reflection or progress action, if included
Day closesRecord every action before my chosen daily cutoff
Miss ruleThe exact consequence required by my selected version

That setup is intentionally boring. Good. Day 38 does not need an inspiring dashboard. It needs the same rules you agreed to on Day 1.

Decide What a Miss Means Before It Happens

Community versions of 75 Soft do not always handle a miss the same way. Some restart the entire count. Some record the missed action and continue. Others use a weekly structure rather than requiring every action every calendar day.

Cue does not get to rewrite your chosen program. Write the consequence first, then use the challenge record consistently. Do not claim you followed a restart version if you silently continued, and do not restart out of shame if the version you selected does not require it.

Your selected ruleWhat happens after a missNext action
Restart versionThe current 75-day run endsRecord the miss, fix the cause, and begin a new run when ready
Continue versionThe day remains incomplete, but the calendar continuesRecord it honestly and resume the next required action
Weekly-target versionA daily miss may not equal a failed weekFollow the written weekly threshold—do not invent one afterward
Unsafe ruleThe challenge stopsChoose a safer plan with appropriate guidance; do not force a technical “completion”

Be hard on the wording and calm about the miss. A miss is a fact. Record it. Learn why it happened. Follow the consequence you chose. If the result is a restart, the restart guide will help you begin again without turning one incomplete day into a month of avoidance.

Paper, Spreadsheet, Dedicated Tracker, or Cue?

The best tracker is the one you will check every day and can understand on Day 60. This comparison is published by Cue; it is not a neutral third-party ranking.

MethodBest forStrengthLimitation
Paper gridSomeone who wants no device involvedFast, private, and completely customizableEasy to lose; totals and changes are manual
SpreadsheetSomeone who wants a custom recordFlexible columns, notes, and formulasDaily phone use can feel clumsy; setup is yours
Dedicated 75 Soft trackerSomeone following the exact version that tracker supportsMay arrive with a ready-made rule structureIts built-in version may not match yours; verify before starting
CueSomeone who wants chosen rules inside a broader challenge app on iPhoneLets the 75-day effort live as a defined challenge with daily trackingYou must choose and enter the correct version; Cue is not the rule authority

Do not choose a tracker because its screenshots make Day 1 look clean. Choose it because it can represent the rules you intend to follow without forcing you to reinterpret them later.

Your Day-Zero Checklist

  • I saved the exact 75 Soft version I am following.
  • Every rule has a measurable daily or weekly finish line.
  • My movement, food, and water rules are appropriate for me.
  • I checked the 75-day dates against my real calendar.
  • I decided what a miss means before the first miss.
  • I chose when and where I will record each day.
  • I know what I will do on Day 1—not just what I hope to become by Day 75.

If you are still choosing the shape of the commitment, review the habit-building guide. If you want a different named or seasonal format, the challenge library shows other structures. Do not start three at once. Choose the contract you can explain clearly and keep honestly.

Seventy-five days is long enough for weather, work, travel, fatigue, and imperfect weeks to show up. The tracker cannot remove any of that. It can keep the agreement visible when the novelty is gone.
